Spicy potato soup, bananas, and oranges. The potato soup's spices and celery are cleansing, while the fruit can be eaten later as a light snack to keep your energy up.
Watermelon, served in front of the Big Top, keeps you hydrated and gives you a boost for the All Camp workshop.
Mung beans and rice (the classic yogic food, also called “kitcheree,” which is an excellent source of protein and easy to digest) with spicy hot sauce (for internal cleansing), carrots and beets (for minerals and liver support), and salad (for vitamins and enzymes).
Yogi Tea and Golden Milk, with dairy and non-dairy options and sugar or no sugar options. Golden Milk contains turmeric, which is anti-inflammatory and helps with joint health.
An extra lunch of "Tantric salad," a gluten-free quinoa salad with raw vegetables, is provided to meet the increased carbohydrate needs as per Yogi Bhajan’s instruction.
Children have a separate kitchen for healthy, child-friendly food. Additional snacks are available throughout the day in the Children’s camp. For breakfast and dinner, the first few lines in the langar field serve children’s meals. For more information on children’s food, click here.
